Ministries / Worship

One church. One voice.

Bethel’s worship ministry helps the church turn its attention to Jesus and sing together across generations.

The Bethel worship team and congregation

Why we sing

Joyfully leading the church in exalting Christ.

At Bethel, the prayer is that God would be glorified above all else. In weekly corporate worship, the team’s goal is to draw the eyes and hearts of the congregation vertically toward Jesus. Bethel believes the corporate gathering is a picture of how believers will worship into eternity—as one voice proclaiming the glory of God.

“…addressing one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…” — Ephesians 5:19

01

Is this song biblically faithful?

Songs sung by the church should reflect sound doctrine and accurately communicate the nature and character of the Lord. Bethel avoids songs that are ambiguous, create more questions than worship, or take the focus off Christ. The songs of the church should joyfully exalt Jesus.

02

Is this song congregationally helpful?

The songs are selected so the church can sing together. Bethel believes every believer should have the opportunity to participate joyfully in the corporate gathering—not simply listen to music that is difficult to sing.

03

Does this song draw us nearer to God?

Singing reminds the church who God is, recalls His promises to His people, and proclaims the excellencies of the Savior. Each selected song should allow the congregation to respond in a genuinely God-glorifying way.

04

Does this song unify the congregation?

Bethel strives for one body worshipping together rather than separation by era, genre, or style. Because the congregation is multigenerational, Sundays include everything from classic hymns to modern worship—all theologically rich and united under King Jesus.
