Centered on Christ and His Word.
Bethel’s goal is to make fully devoted followers of Christ, and Sunday is shaped through that lens.
Preaching
At Bethel, the Word of God is central to all the church does, thinks, sings, and says—especially on Sunday mornings. As Scripture is preached, the message looks at the text in its proper context, addresses each verse and line, and connects it to the modern world. In this way, the central point of the biblical author becomes the central point of the sermon, keeping God’s church under His authority.
This approach keeps the proclaimed Word consistent with its original message, theologically aligned, and able to address a wide variety of subjects concerning God, the Gospel, culture, and Christian living. Scripture allows us to know who God is, what He has done, and how the Gospel is revealed through Christ Jesus. The ministry of preaching is essential to the Christian life, and the Bible is the primary means by which we know God.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” — 2 Timothy 3:16–4:4
Worship
Bethel’s Sunday gatherings are simple and centered on three things: worship through song, corporate prayer, and the preaching of the Word. As the church gathers, its aim is to worship God both as individuals and as one body of believers. The songs are theologically rich and true, and the Word is proclaimed through expository preaching.
Children
During worship, Bethel offers nursery and classes for children from preschool through fifth grade. Families can check in at the Kids Check table to the right of the main worship center doors beginning at 9:45 AM. Nursery and children’s workers and volunteers are background-checked and properly trained.
